More planning success for CALA Homes and Saunders as long-awaited masterplan in Kelvedon is approved by committee
Saunders has helped secure consent for a 238 dwelling residential development in Kelvedon, Essex.
The CALA Homes development comprises apartment blocks and a mix of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bed houses set in an high quality landscape setting, including public open space, public leisure routes, ecology land, SuDS and a children’s play area. The scheme follows the parameters set out in a 2017 Outline consent for the site and includes 95 affordable homes and distinct character areas.
At the virtual Committee Meeting, members praised the huge collaborative effort by Officers and the CALA team over the course of the last year and particularly the last few days, resulting in consent granted subject to conditions.
Work is due to start on site early 2021.
