Homes to be built on former airfield in Alconbury Weald

25-05-2021

Saunders have submitted Reserved Matters for new dwellings to be built by CALA Homes North Counties on Parcel 7 at Alconbury Weald in Huntingdonshire. The development is part of a wider masterplan that regenerates a former RAF airfield: providing much needed new homes, retail, leisure and education in an area adjacent to the existing town of Huntingdon.

The 261 houses and flats conform to Alconbury Weald Design Code principles that were established and evolved through prior parcels, most of which have now been delivered. The homes are surrounded by landscaped green spaces, new schools and leisure facilities, offer opportunities to work in purpose-built offices close by and have the Cambridgeshire countryside on the doorstep.
