Designing Inspiring Environments for Learning

We were honoured that our Associate Director, Annabel Lait, was recently invited to speak at this year’s Independent Schools' Bursars Association (ISBA) conference held in Newport, Wales. Annabel joined with industry experts on a panel discussion about the design principles of creating school master plans for new buildings, repurposing existing spaces or discovering what opportunities lie within a site - and how to secure the all important funding.

The Saunders education team were also delighted to partner with Morgan Sindall to provide an exhibition stand where we had the opportunity to answer queries and speak to many Bursars about their future development plans.

Saunders have recently completed a number of education and leisure projects including new music and extended dining facilities within a contemporary extension at, what is believed to be, the oldest girls school in the country. We have designed new state-of-the-art sports facilities for a local cricket/ hockey club together with floodlit all weather pitch and are in the construction phase to provide new all-weather pitches and a new sports hall at North Hertfordshire College. We are also in the process of preparing master planning and feasibility studies for several prestigious private and state schools around the country.
